Was here several years ago and it was awesome. I want to love it, but just can’t. My mom and I went a few days ago for lunch. I got the breakfast burrito and it was a total dud, which seems like a tricky thing to…make bad? It hardly had any eggs (about the length of my finger), they were SO salty, and with the exception of salt overkill (is salt a flavor?) it lacked flavor. It was kind of a soggy mess, and despite being ravenous I didn’t even eat half of it. So, some things are misses. BUT my mom ordered a gf bagel with cashew cream cheese, which was an extra $2, totally fine and expected except that there was like pretty much none! Maybe they touched the knife to it and then touched the same knife to the bagel?? I mean, it was the tiniest bit of dry schmear, so little that it looked like maybe a bit of butter on a bagel. So her meal was also a dud, and a pricier one. We should have gone back and asked for more (any?!) cream cheese, and maybe I should’ve ordered something else different, but we were just kind of over it at that point. I LOVED my B.E.C. (bacon, egg & cheese) bagel and penny coffee here. Bagel sandwich was hot and crispy and yummy. Bacon very good. Plentiful coffee, and good. No wait (can't believe no wait at a place this good). Sunny cafe eating area with enormous fiddle leaf fig plants: a relaxed vibe. Service was excellent, the gent taking the order was all smiles, food delivered fast. Next morning, to try something different, went to Biscuit Head down the street: AWFUL biscuit, just a bunch of tasteless dough. Wish I'd gone back to Simple.

Came with my son on my Birthday for breakfast. We both got the vegan breakfast sandwich, and he also got the acai bowl. We both agreed it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had. Acai bowl was delicious as well. Staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant was cute, nice cushioned window seats with great lighting. We will be back!

Lovely two rooms with lots of light. Great crew: very friendly, worked really hard. The breakfast Sandwich was extremely tasty and reasonably priced at $9.50. It came from. I love the motley crew of diverse West Asheville customers. For me, helping yourself to coffee and water - and then bussing your own dishes - just added to the ambience and made it feel more homey. It allowed them to run the operation with just two people in the front of the house, which I’m sure keeps the prices down. I got in with no wait at 11 AM on a Sunday - and never saw more than five people in line for service. Down the street, Sunny Point- the truly iconic West Asheville breakfast place – had a 90 minute wait. Sunny Point does have a lot of great shaded outdoor seating. This place had just two tables up against the wall - catching an excessive amount of hot sun.
